I like Sonic 3 & Knuckles personally, for the interesting, yet epic gameplay, storyline and music.

Sonic 3 and K and Sonic colors are my favorite games right now but I also havent played generations yet so this may change.

Generations is pretty good, but still not as good as S3&K. Nothing will beat that.
